Do you find yourself missing the gym? Or maybe you’re starting to feel the effects of cabin fever from being at home for too long? Whatever your activity levels are, there’s no denying that exercise has a ton of benefits for the mind and body. If you’re looking to develop a healthy routine at home, you should check out these five indoor exercises for remote workers.

1. Yoga

Most people think they need to be flexible or super strong to do yoga, but that’s not the case. It’s one of the most beginner-friendly and doable indoor exercises for remote workers out there because all you need is really a mat and perhaps some makeshift props. Because there are so many styles of yoga, whatever your fitness level and needs are, there’s surely a class that’s fit for you. Try Yin to destress or Ashtanga to challenge your endurance.

2. Indoor Cycling

Spinning classes have gained a lot of popularity in recent years, and for a good reason. It takes traditional indoor cycling and kicks it up a notch with music and involves your whole body in the session. That’s right--contrary to popular belief, cycling doesn’t just work out your legs. This workout can get pretty demanding if you’re not used to it, so ease yourself in if it’s your first time. Not to mention, you can invest in a high-quality bike for an affordable price, which makes it all the more worth the investment.

3. Circuit Training

Circuit training is one of the best indoor exercises for remote workers who already have basic gym equipment at home such as dumbbells, kettlebells, jump rope, or stability ball. You can easily create a routine of your own or follow a sequence on YouTube to get inspired. Plus, you can vary your routine while targeting the body parts you want to work on the most. Around 30 minutes of this daily is enough to get your heart rate up while building strength.

4. Zumba

Some days, you just want to shake the stress off by dancing away! Have a fun workout session while jamming to some of your favorite tunes by joining a Zumba class online, and get the party started. This is a great way to break yourself in if you haven’t exercised in a long time. It takes away the pressure of having to be strong (e.g., weight training) when working out, and burns away a ton of calories without you even realizing it.

CrossFit is a form of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) that builds strength and muscle. If this is your goal, then you should include it in your home workout rotation. There are a lot of challenging routines you can try, from interval cardio, multiple reps of push-ups, bodyweight training, and squats. That’s a workout, alright!

It’s Time to Get Moving

Beginning your fitness journey is the hardest part, but once you’ve found the right mix of indoor exercises for remote workers, you’ll get hooked. There are no rules as to what kind of workout to pick--you can even try everything in this list and alternate among them to keep things interesting. Just listen to your body and do what feels good. Time to get off the couch and start moving!

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
